I have "acquired" many talents, mostly by the seat of my pants. Began by working in a mailroom, then discovering that I had an interest in computers, and wanting to work more indepth with them (both software and hardware) I eventually discovered Microsoft products (Excel 5, Access 1.0), after cutting my teeth with Lotus 1-2-3 X-commands, and machines like HP3000's that you'd find in a data center, back in the day. This continued self training eventually led to analyst jobs at various companies in the Silicon Valley, including contracts at HP, Informix (IBM now), Apple, MoSys, a technical school. When the tech bubble burst in 2000, I found myself not being so motivated to "keep up with the Joneses" (and the amount of work dwindled to nothing), so I enrolled in coursework to become massage certified. I got my certification in 2001, and started that trade up. See "Massage Therapy"
Eventually, I migrated east, taking work that I had no real experience with: working with property development. I'm working with an owner who gave me access to a bank account. I would then "run the operations onsite for an absent owner".. See under "Property Development Mgmt". During all this time, I have stayed computer literate, wrote a custom accounting package for the Land Project I'm involved with (remote support), picking up contracts on occasion (solo gigs) doing HTML, CSS, php/mySQL, and develop my pages using those tools. My friends still rely on me to solve a number of their computer problems.
